Who is Erin Granat?

I am a writer (essayist, screenwriter, recovering travel and music journalist), filmmaker and human woman living on Planet Earth in the 21st century.

And a bio written in the 3rd person:

Erin Granat's debut feature as writer-director is MOON MANOR, co-created as one half of female filmmaking duo "KnifeRock." The film was bought by Showtime and the screenplay was selected for the Academy of Motion Picture’s Permanent Core Collection. The comedy about how to have a "good death" stars Lou Taylor Pucci, Ricki Lake, Debra Wilson, Gayle Rankin and Whitmer Thomas and features music by Coldplay producers The Dream Team and Joe Berry of M83. 

Reviewers have called MOON MANOR a "brilliant, thoughtful exploration" and "one of the best of 2022." As “KnifeRock,” her collaboration with Machete Bang Bang, Erin has also worked with the band Coldplay documenting the creation of their album “Every Day Life,” including their livestream album release in Amman, Jordan (a YouTube production).

Erin’s next scripted project is the forthcoming original series YOUR DARKNESS IS SHINING, from Atomic Monster and Wiip.

Originally from rural Nevada, Erin's screenplays have been finalists at the Austin Film Festival Screenplay Contest and the ScreenCraft Feature Competition, and her essays have been finalists for CRAFT Literary’s Creative Nonfiction Prize and the Newfound Prose Prize. She is an MFA candidate in Creative Writing at Queen’s University - South America. As a journalist, Erin has been a contributing writer and photographer at FLAUNT, UpRoxx, Billboard and more.
